10 years later - ErinCliff took a deep breath and looked over the cobblestone square on the balcony of the small apartment building.  They were in Paris this month.  Next month they were scheduled to visit Russia for a time.  Cliff glanced down at the people walking along the streets and began to write.  The travels had given him so much to write about, both fiction and nonfiction.  Being a freelance writer helped them get by.

The Swan Princess: Part 2It was warm in the nest.  Hazel had been there for more than a month now.  Amala seemed in no hurry to push her out.  Hazel think Amala liked the companionship, especially in the season where most swans had already migrated.     
Food was readily available in the glade the nest was in.  Amala had actually managed to dig it out a small warren in the side of a glen.  There was room for at least five swans to huddle together for warmth on rainy days and there were plenty of roots and leaves nearby, which Hazel strangely found absolutely delicious in this form.

Crossover: RedemptionThe cat let out a low, rhythmic purr as it rested on top of a smooth plywood computer desk.  To its back was a small tray with a soldering iron and littered across the desk were various measuring implements, test tubes, and assorted circuitry cramped onto the small desk.   
The kitten purred some as the door to the room opened.  A young woman clad in a pink shirt and jeans storms in.  She throws a backpack onto her bed, sitting down and putting her head in her hands.  Her long blonde hair covering her head as her arms shook.

Her daughter had been holed up in her room for the past two days.  Kerrigan was typically too busy in her lab to worry too much about her daughter, but with her latest invention finished, she only just noticed that her daughter had barely left her room except to eat.   
“I’ll be down in a minute,” Unknown yelled back.  She hurriedly moved her eyes over the page.  She was almost to the end and, even though she was hungry, she wanted to finish.

Two new possible series

wow, this is my first journal of the new year?

I don't know how much I'll be able to get out of either of them, but they're both ideas that I liked doing.

Bedtime Stories - Sort of similar to the Idol of Metamor, I enjoyed writing a version of a folk story starring other characters. I did have ideas in mind for more, and I was surprised at how well received the first one was, so I may try to do more in the future.

10 years later - The basic premise is simply "where will they be 10 years from now." It came from a chat with *Redflare500 about whether characters should age and develop over time. While aging the characters over real time may be problematic, there's no reason why we can't look in the future and see where they'll be. I enjoyed writing the story and hope more will come in this series as well.

If the folks who see it like it, then that's great.

... But as an artist it kills me to look back and think 'OMG #%)*ING HUGE HEAD'. ( Psst, by the way, kinda more current version in my scraps, dare you tread there. :P ) But it's closure for me, so something soonish-maybe-i'unno.
